STEPHANE LYNDE PARTNER LL.M. (Intellectual Property), 1984, Centre for International Industrial Property Studies (CEIPI) and University of Strasburg, France (Summa Cum Laude under the direction of Prof. Burst, Prof. Kovar, and Prof. Mathély) LL.B. 1983, University of Strasburg, France (Magna Cum Laude). Mr. Lynde has a long and extensive experience in the field of Intellectual Property, including patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, domain names, counterfeiting and unfair competition. He began his carrier at a large international IP firm in 1986, where he was the Legal Director from 1991 to 1999. In 1991, Mr. Lynde created the Brussels branch of this firm, of which he was the Director during two years. During all these years, he had the opportunity to handle a great diversity of highly complex cases. On 2004 he founded this firm, Lynde & Associés that counts today with four highly qualified IP attorneys. Mr. Lynde focuses on providing legal counsel in connection with all areas of IP, including filings and registrability strategies, managing clients’ IP portfolios, carrying out domestic and foreign trademark availability searches, prosecuting French, Community and foreign trademark, patents, design and copyright applications, pursuing French and Community trademark oppositions and cancellation actions. His practice also concentrates on providing infringement advice and negotiating and handling all sorts of IP agreements such as settlement agreements, assignments and licensing agreements of IP rights in France and abroad. He also gained valuable experience in dealing with due diligences and IP audits for important deals. Mr. Lynde teaches Trademark Law and Practice at the University of Paris XIII.
